Even a Wizard Needs a FitBit!

Jack LaLanne Fitness StudioI went into my Universal Harry Potter Experience not really knowing how the week would go fitness wise.   I wasn't sure how much walking I would do at Universal, and I wasn't sure what kind of gym the hotel would have - if one at all.

So, I proceeded into this experiment with my daily goals from past Disney FitVacations as a starting point:
  • 20000 steps
  • 10 Miles
  • 80 active minutes
  • 1200 calorie diet
  • No Weight Gain
I had one additional goal, and that was to remember to eat: I have that annoying blood sugar issue.

Here's how it went!

It turned out that I was right on target!  There was a lot more walking involved that I imagined!

I kept my diet on track, also; the menus at the Leaky Cauldron and the Three Broomsticks consisted of hearty-protein meals that were just right for my hypoglycemic diet.  And at the end of each day, I headed to the gym!  I lifted and took a spin on the elliptical each night at The Cabana Bay Beach Resort's world class gym, the Jack LaLanne Fitness Studio!

The ultimate test was getting home and getting on the scale; and no weight gain!

I am always so worried that when traveling I will totally fail fitness wise.  So, far, with the help of my FitBit, I seem to be staying on target!  I was very pleased with my success this week!

How do you stay fit while on vacation?  I'd love to hear your story!
