Flying to Disneyland: Review Your Options!

Castle Diamond Celebration Airport Options

It's time to book my flights to Disneyland for the Stars Wars Half Marathon in January!
I can't wait to run the race, see the Diamond Celebration and relive the excitement of where Disney all began!

First, I've got to actually get to Disneyland.
Most people shy away from Disneyland because you have to fly:  I usually just default to LAX because you have so many options there.  However, it can be super busy, confusing, and a long ride to Disneyland.  And sometimes dealing with LAX requires a lot of extra Pixie Dust.  So, I decided to compare flights and airports before I book my flights this year to make a better decision.  And here is what I found out!

*All costs flying out of New Orleans

For the Half Marathon Weekend, I'm looking for 3 things:
- Getting to Disneyland as early in the day as possible
- Non Stop Flights if Possible
- Getting Home Before Midnight

For me, Long Beach is out because of cost.  I really wanted to fly into John Wayne just to get a feel for that airport.  Since their morning schedule fits great into my plans, this will be my outgoing flight.

Since I can get a NonStop Flight and be in New Orleans before 9PM, I'll be taking LAX on the way home!

I am excited about trying something new, and I'll let you know what kind of experience, good or bad, I had by using John Wayne Airport.
